PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Tang Keat (TK) is the Director and Head of Business Development for APFM. TK has over 20 years of industry experience in:
- Investment Advisory
- Fund and Asset Management
- Auction, and Facility Management
TK joined the PhillipCapital Group in 2010 and served as the Fund Manager of Phillip Japan Fund Management Pte Ltd where he was responsible for sourcing, acquisitions, and portfolio management. In addition of that role, he has been active in promoting cross border business opportunities for investors between Japan and Asia Pacific region.
Concurrently, he also serves as a Director of CKS Property Consultants Pte Ltd (CKS), overseeing its Agency and International Business divisions. CKS’ principal activities include Property Valuation, Real Estate Agency, Investment Advisory/Brokerage, Research and Feasibility Study. Its clients include many commercial, industrial, REITs and hospitality players including Ascott Group, Fraser Hospitality, Clover Hotels, Criterion Hotel Australia, CherryLoft Hotels Singapore/China, Nest Hotels Japan, Amara Hotel Singapore, Avanti Hotels Vietnam and Ascendas Hospitality Trust.
Prior to that, he held several positions in JLL over a period of 10 years, including Head of Auction in Singapore and Head of Industrial in Vietnam. TK was responsible for setting up the industrial and commercial departments for the JLL Vietnam office in 2007. During his posting in Vietnam, he successfully transacted deals with international firms such as AIG, Ascendas, Ascott Group, Capitaland, Frasers Property, Guoco Land, Henderson Land, Keppel Land, Mapletree Group, Pacific Stars, Sanyo, Watpac, UOL and many other Vietnamese companies and fund houses.
TK has also spearheaded numerous capital market transactions in Singapore including three collective sales of private residential projects on both buy and sell sides, with GDV totaling close to S$2 billion. He was also involved in strategic real estate assignments including the management of DBS’s portfolio of assets after its acquisition of POSB in 1998 and the co-location of all Invensys subsidiaries after its merger in 1999.
As a key executive of AAM, TK co-founded the Asia Pacific Credit Plus (APCP) Fund together with Kenedix Asia Pte Ltd. Currently, TK also serves as a Director on the Board of AP ASEAN Holding Limited, a regional platform based in Hong Kong formed by Agility Partners and key ASEAN network member firms.
